With the election just seven weeks away, CWA's website for communicators, the Source, is being updated with campaign- and issue-related materials. This week there are four new political handouts highlighting the positions of Barack Obama and John McCain on key CWA issues affecting women, retirees and veterans. There are also some photos sent in by CWA members who hosted Obama-Biden parties on Aug. 28.

President Bush's contempt for workers and unions is as strong as ever in his waning White House days, with the Wall Street Journal reporting that he is considering an executive order that would bar government contractors from allowing workers to organize through majority card check authorization.
