Killer Sentenced to Four Life Terms

The man who opened fire in a gay bar in Roanoke, Va., last September, killing CWA member Danny Overstreet and wounding six others, has been sentenced to four consecutive life terms in prison.

Maly Elected to Head C&T

Ralph Maly, elected by acclamation at the convention to head Communications and Technologies, pledges to uphold the union’s constitution as a CWA vice president. Maly was appointed by the CWA executive board earlier this year to succeed longtime C&T Vice Pres. Jim Irvine, who retired.
