Cohen: Broadband Vital for Jobs, the Economy

Speaking at the Alliance for Pubic Technology forum in Washington, D.C., CWA EVP Larry Cohen called for an end to the digital divide between rich and poor, through changes in public policy that promote investment by telecom, cable and wireless companies in the rapid deployment of broadband, high-speed Internet service.

CWA headquarters staff and members of District 2 locals and other unions turned out for a rally and press briefing on Capitol Hill March 5 in support of Senate Democrats' efforts to combat outsourcing of both manufacturing and white collar call center and high tech jobs.
