An overwhelming majority of Cingular's former AT&T Wireless retail sales associates in Maine chose representation with CWA Local 1400 in a card check. The American Arbitration Association certified the results on Oct. 11.

Aided by fellow unionists in Spain, U.S. journalists at the Spanish news agency EFE won representation in an NLRB election when workers voted for TNG-CWA. Based in Miami, their unit works out of news bureaus there as well as in Washington, D.C., New York and other cities.
