Beginning February 1 through April 30, 2006, employers must post a summary of the total number of work-related injuries and illnesses that occurred in 2005. This information, contained on the OSHA 300A Log or an equivalent form, will provide an indication of the employer?s provision of safe and healthful working conditions.

In a move to allow newspaper workers to become employee-owners, The Newspaper Guild-CWA and its financial partner, The Yucaipa Companies, have submitted a bid for the 12 Knight Ridder newspapers being sold by the McClatchy Co. after its acquisition of the chain.
