CWA members at US Airways approved the creation of a new Airline Customer Service Employee Association – a joint alliance with the Teamsters - that will represent passenger service agents at the merged US Airways and America West.

An overwhelming majority of Cingular's former AT&T Wireless retail sales associates in Maine chose representation with CWA Local 1400 in a card check. The American Arbitration Association certified the results on Oct. 11.

Calif. Gov. Schwarzenegger wants to terminate the political voice of union members. Hundreds of CWAers are joining ther unionists through their central labor councils to block Proposition 75 and other anti-union ballot measures in the governor's special election, set for Nov. 8.
