Deadline to Register Extended for WTC Workers’ Comp

In an effort to reach more workers who were exposed to the toxic environment at Ground Zero, New York state has extended the deadline for filing a registration form that protects their right to later file for workers' compensation. The deadline is now Aug. 14, 2008.

Whether or not they currently show signs of illness, World Trade Center-area workers — from any state — should file a WTC-12 form now in order to be able to file a claim later if necessary.
