Union Privilege Funds Labor Scholarship

Union Privilege has contributed $25,000 to fund a new scholarship for union activists pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the National Labor College.

The college, located at the George Meany Center for Labor Studies in Silver Spring, Md., offers several labor-related degree programs.

CWA started the new year by welcoming more than 2,000 new members, with the largest gains coming at Cingular Wireless in Districts 1 and 3, Advanced Solutions Inc. in District 4, and AT&T Broadband in Districts 6 and 13.
