Dealing a blow to workers on both sides of the Pacific, the Bush administration rejected the AFL-CIO's petition that detailed how China's violations of workers' rights have given the country an unfair trade advantage leading to the loss of more than 727,000 American jobs.
Communications Workers Set Strike at SBC Involving 100,000 Workers at 12:01 a.m. Friday May 21
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Communications Workers of America announced that a 4-day strike involving 100,000 union employees of SBC in 13 states will begin at 12:01 a.m. local time in each time zone on Friday, May 21. Workers will return to their jobs at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, May 25.
