Kenneth H. Bergstrom, retired administrative assistant to CWA's vice president for Communications and Technologies and former national director of Western Electric Sales, died on July 24 due to complications of diabetes. He was 73.

Gerald A. Belanger, a retired CWA Representative in District 2, died in his sleep June 29 of a ruptured aneurysm on his brain. He was 60.

Political clout and CWA Local 7026's strong reputation in Nogales, Ariz., combined to help 166 non-supervisory city employees gain union recognition this summer. District 7 Vice President John Thompson said nearly 100 workers signed membership cards.
