The results are in from CWA's e-poll — the first online presidential candidate preference poll ever conducted by a major labor union. CWA members expressed a preference against an early endorsement and demonstrated close margins among the top vote-getters.

As the new chair of the CWA Retired Members' Council, I am excited about our growth and the power we have collectively to affect the lives of retirees, our younger union brothers and sisters and, in fact, all working people.

CWA members and retirees made a huge difference in key political races last month, especially in Kentucky, Virginia and New Jersey where the union played a lead role in state campaigns.

In a victory worthy of David vs. Goliath, a small unit of PBS workers in Harrisburg, Pa., stood up to a management team whose contract demands could have spelled the end of their union.
