CWA - Avaya Bargaining Update #20 - 11:45 p.m.

The CWA, IBEW, and the Company have agreed to stop the clock and continue bargaining. Although we may bargain through the night, the Unions are not optimistic that we will reach an agreement any time soon if at all. Updates will be issued as often as possible, depending on where we are.

Negotiations between CWA and Avaya continued as the CWA Newsletter was published, with CWA reaffirming its goal of reaching a fair and equitable settlement at the bargaining table but pointing out that the company was not living up to that same commitment.

CWA announced opposition to House legislation to regulate high-speed Internet networks supposedly to insure "net neutrality," but which "will result in the unintended consequence of delayed deployment of high-speed networks, with particularly negative impact on underserved communities."
