CTC recently partnered with the Communications Workers of America (CWA) to create the first broadband-centered apprenticeship for the states of Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, and North Dakota.

Members of the Bird Union-CWA Local 1180 have reached a tentative agreement with their employer, the National Audubon Society, for a first union contract. This tentative agreement was reached after more than two years of negotiations, supported by mobilization of union members across the country. The contract will cover 260 union members represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA).

In the Communications Workers of America's long history with Verizon and Frontier, our union has seen corporate deals and mergers that prioritized profits over people and investors over the infrastructure that our communities need and deserve.

Through their strike in the Southeast and their rejection of the tentative agreement in the West, CWA members have sent a strong message to AT&T: we expect good faith bargaining toward a fair contract.
