New York, October 31, 2005 - Nearly 300 CWA-represented sales and clerical employees of Verizon Information Services are on strike over unfair labor practices committed by management during negotiations for a new contract.

ATLANTA – BellSouth Corporation (NYSE: BLS) and the Communications Workers of America (CWA) announced Oct. 14 the ratified extension of the contract covering approximately 1,000 employees of BellSouth National Directory & Customer Assistance (ND&CA).
