End of Sprint Bid for T-Mobile is Good News for Workers, Consumers
The merger of these two competing companies would likely have meant more job loss since both companies have a track record of offshoring U.S. jobs. Had the merger gone forward, the two companies likely would have bragged about new synergies that would enable them to cut even more U.S. jobs.
Shared Services Agreements Reduce Media Diversity, Cost Jobs, and Make an End Run Around the FCC
In comments filed today, the Communications Workers of America called on the Federal Communications Commission immediately to direct broadcasters to disclose all radio and television shared service agreements (SSAs) and to rule that all sharing agreements create attributable ownership interests that must be counted in evaluating compliance with the FCC?s local broadcast ownership limits.
