Union, Consumer Alliance Puts Brakes on NJ Telecom Deregulation

A coalition of New Jersey CWA members, the AARP, Citizen Action, the League of Municipalities and other groups has succeeded in scuttling, for now, a telecom deregulation bill that would have hurt consumers, workers and quality telephone service.

Frontier is holding its quarterly Board meeting in Charleston, West Virginia this week. CWA members there took advantage of the Frontier board's presence and handed out fliers to the Board members in Charleston prior to the Board?s attendance at an ?invitation only? business/ community event at a local college.
