Results of the Joint Retiree Healthcare Committee (JRHC) negotiations for calendar year 2016

As we have reported in the past, as negotiated in 2004, each year the JRHC reviews the formerly represented retiree healthcare costs, projected by the Company, to have exceeded the negotiated Retiree Healthcare Caps for the upcoming year.

Alcatel-Lucent and the CWA have agreed to settle the Performance Plan Grievance for $85 a person - a total payout of $89,250.
Alcatel-Lucent Lump Sum Buy Out Of Monthly Pension Payments

Alcatel-Lucent informed the CWA National yesterday that they intend to make available to certain former employees, surviving beneficiaries and alternate payees, who are currently receiving monthly pension payments from the Lucent Technologies Inc. Pension Plan (the Plan), a Lucent Retiree Lump Sum Window Program (the Program).
