CWA's Committee on Civil Rights and Equity has put together a special program for this year's civil rights and equity conference in New Orleans.

Scores of red-shirted CWA members honored the life of West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd on July 2, joining a somber march behind a horse-drawn caisson that ended at a memorial service at Charleston's statehouse.

The Union met with the Company today at the full table. The Company provided a data request response for populated jobs within our unit.

CWA leaders met with representatives from Qwest and CenturyLink on June 24 to express concerns about the potential merger of the two corporations and the impact of the merger on CWA bargaining unit members at both companies. The meeting, originally scheduled for 3 hours, extended for the entire day. Though there is no specific progress to report, the parties agreed to continue discussions through the coming weeks.
