More than 100 people attended the workshops about the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare) held at CWA?s Convention in Pittsburgh last month. We will be posting answers to questions brought up during those workshops, and others as they arise, here on the CWA Health Care web page. Today we'll look at new rules around minimum waiting periods for enrollment in employer-based health care plans.

In the 1930s, workers took to the streets, protesting poor working conditions, low wages and exploitative labor practices. Some died fighting for their rights. As a result, President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Congress established the National Labor Relations Board to provide workers a place to seek justice.
