After more than two years fighting for a fair contract, NewsGuild-CWA members at ProPublica have sent a strong message to management that they are ready and willing to strike.

Members and retirees of CWA Local 7076 fought against the austerity measures, which, if passed, would make 2026 the first year without a pay increase for public workers since 2018.

Members underwent two political action trainings before visiting with lawmakers and have more educational events scheduled for later this year.

The Orange Bargaining Committee was surprised to see the fake news in AT&T’s last bargaining report. Apparently, AT&T thinks refusing to bargain at the table and putting their cheap, insulting proposals in reports will get us to a deal! Your elected bargainers from Districts 1, 2-13, 4, 7, and 9 have put forth your demands, and although we have emphasized the items that are important to you, they remain unaddressed. Tell your boss you demand better treatment.

The Orange Bargaining Committee and AT&T have been meeting continuously during this past week’s extension, yet we have not been able to reach a deal.  Both parties have agreed to a two-week contract extension to continue bargaining. There are many important items which you have told us must be addressed that AT&T continues to ignore.  The contract remains in place until 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, Friday, March 6th.
