Along with the thousands of union members fighting the war in Iraq, scores of journalists and media employees represented by CWA's media sectors are risking their lives to show and tell the stories of the reality of combat.

Production workers at Fenn Mfg. in Newington, Conn., have ratified a four-year agreement, ending an eight-month strike and lockout at the parts-maker for Sikorsky helicopters and other defense contractors.

It wasn't a snow job but straight talk that convinced hundreds of ski patrollers in Colorado and Utah to join CWA. Right now they number about 250 members and expect to reach 400 shortly. They have the potential to grow by hundreds more, said CWA District 7 Vice President John Thompson.
