The Jackson, Miss., city council voted unanimously to grant collective bargaining rights to city employees and to recognize CWA's Mississippi Alliance of State Employees as bargaining representative.
3,000 Jackson, MS City Employees Gain Bargaining Rights

Jackson, Mississippi city employees gained collective bargaining rights when the City Council voted unanimously on June 21 to give the workers the right to bargain. Earlier, a majority of the nearly 3,000 employees voted to organize with MASE-CWA Local 3570.
