Today was Health Care Action Day, and activities took place all over the country. Even at the Bargaining Table, the bargainers wore surgical masks and bandages, displayed their medications, and filled the room with a clear message that AT&T should NOT be shifting health care costs to our members.

The Union and the Company are still moving in opposite directions. The Union passed several proposals to move titles in Articles 45, 46, and one in 36 INTO Article 41 to give those workers some of the better language in that Article.

On April 28, 2009, CWA and the U.S. labor movement will once again celebrate and observe Workers' Memorial Day to remember those who have become ill, injured, or killed on the job, as well as to renew our fight for strong safety and health protections.
