Congress is back in session, and corporate lobbyists are making the case that big companies and corporate CEOs need a tax break to create American jobs. AT&T has even been holding meetings with its employees to try to convince them that tax breaks for billionaires will benefit working families.
We know that's just not true. The tax cuts Republicans are proposing would slash between $4 and $6 trillion from services we all depend on, like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, and other programs for working families need.
