By signing up to receive text messages from any CWA Local covered by this Terms and Conditions, the user consents to receive automated recurring messages with text alerts from the CWA Local on breaking news, important events, and key issues concerning the CWA Local.
Users can cancel their SMS subscription at any time by texting "STOP" to the toll-free number. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or you can get help directly by emailing sms@cwa.org (be sure to include the phone number and CWA Local number in your message).
Wireless operators do not guarantee message delivery and will not be held liable for delayed or undelivered messages, nor will CWA Locals be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS message, as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.
Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency may vary; members should expect increased message frequency during contract bargaining, for example. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
For information on data collection and to understand how we use the information you may provide us, please review our privacy policy at cwa.org/privacy.
