Verizon Communications thinks it can get away with anything:
- They charge their customers outrageous fees while opposing open access to the Internet.
- They earn billions in profit but pay nothing in federal corporate income taxes.
- They get millions in tax breaks from local governments while critical services go unfunded, the public debt load goes up, and individuals pay more.
- They send thousands of jobs overseas and insist on deep cuts in worker pay and benefits, while rewarding their CEO by increasing his salary 200% to $23.1 million.
It’s time for consumers, workers, communities and elected officials to stand up to Verizon.
