April 4 Mobilization

mlk photosIn Memphis, Martin Luther King began April 4th, 1968 like hundreds of other days in his life – championing the cause of working people. He was in Memphis supporting 1300 sanitation workers who had been striking for recognition for two months. The assassins’ gunshot that rang out that evening may have silenced his voice, but his call for justice and equality rings clear today.

42 years later, Dr. King’s “moral struggle for an economic outcome” lives on -- in Wisconsin and Ohio, from coast to coast. This April 4th, CWA is standing with other unions and civil rights groups to take the battle to every workplace in the country. Your leadership in your workplace and community is key.
