SODEXO BARGAINING REPORT #3

Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Company today in Murray Hill, New Jersey, to bargain over a new successor Collective Bargain Agreement.

On October 4, 2019, CWA filed a labor charge with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) since Sodexo has failed to provide the outstanding data that we need to prepare proposals and to discuss a successor agreement. The charge also states that Sodexo has cancelled bargaining sessions, does not adhere to the agreed-upon bargaining procedures and has failed to respond to communications with the Union. The Company refused to discuss anything related to the ongoing NLRB investigation, including the pending data requests.

We held discussions over the current Appendix D and the Health Care Reimbursement Agreement.  The Union will submit additional data requests to try and understand the Company’s rationale. We signed a third extension agreement, and our contract will continue in full force until December3, 2019.

We are scheduled to meet again on December 2, 2019.

We remain optimistic that we can come to a fair and just agreement that will provide for fair wages, good benefits and above all job security.

One day longer, one day stronger! United we stand!

Your Bargaining Team,
