Nancy Pelosi Stood With Us When It Counted

Nancy Pelosi has been a tireless champion for CWA members and all working people for every day of her remarkable career in public service. She was the most effective Speaker of the House in our nation’s history, responsible for bringing healthcare to millions of uninsured Americans through the Affordable Care Act; protecting the health, safety, and jobs of essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic; and ensuring that thousands of CWA-represented workers and retirees who participate in multiemployer pension plans will receive the full pension benefits that they earned through a lifetime of work.

Speaker Emerita Pelosi never backed down from a fight. She stood with us when it counted—on the floor of the House of Representatives and on the picket line. We are grateful for her efforts and for her friendship, and we wish her the best in her retirement.
