DCCC Staff Unanimously Vote to Ratify Union Contract

Today, employees and leadership at the DCCC are proud to announce the ratification of the CWA/DCCC Staff Union’s second collective bargaining agreement (CBA) through June 2029.

By unanimous vote, DCCC staff voted for ratification of the agreement, demonstrating our employees’ commitment to providing an inclusive and exceptional workplace. Commitment to these values is why the DCCC remains the top place to work and to elect House Democrats across the country. This CBA supports DCCC staff, enhances professional development, and ensures the Committee has the resources it needs to retake the House Majority in 2026 by:

  • Raising wages to reflect the value of DCCC employees
  • Continuing to provide 100% employer-paid health insurance to staff
  • Increasing business travel and commuting benefits to further address affordability
  • Establishing responsible AI guidelines to enhance our work while protecting employees
  • Expanding the foundation for workplace standards in Democratic campaigns and more.

CWA/DCCC Staff Union (CWA Local 2336) Bargaining Committee Member Tyler Littlejohn:

"As we witness the Trump administration's assault on organized labor and a growing affordability crisis for workers across the country, Democrats have reaffirmed their commitment to the labor movement. By raising wages, ensuring access to quality health care, and setting thoughtful AI standards, this contract ensures staff can continue doing the critical work of electing House Democrats. We're proud of what we've secured in the second iteration of our collective bargaining agreement and look forward to our continued partnership with the DCCC."

DCCC Executive Director Julie Merz:

“I’m proud that the DCCC staff continues to uphold and live the Democratic values that we fight for every day. Ensuring that our team has the personal and professional resources in order to elect Democrats is the most important thing we can do in the long fight for a fairer and just country. Thanks to an amicable and productive negotiation process, the DCCC is honoring that commitment for staff this cycle and for future years to come.”
