NOKIA BARGAINING REPORT #32
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Company and your Bargaining Team resumed bargaining today. The Company stated that they are continuing to review our packaged concept proposal that we believe will go a long way in addressing the Company’s cost and flexibility concerns. In addition, they responded to several of our data requests; however, the really critical data we need to fully formulate more comprehensive proposals is "MIA".
The Union passed a number of counter proposals to the Company’s proposals regarding their willingness to keep existing language if we agree to the elimination of the bargaining unit. Our counter proposals included cost savings in the Early Start Allowance, Sunday Start Allowance and Per Diem Expense Allowance. In addition, the Union countered the Company’s proposal to eliminate the Academic Awards Program with a reduction in the amount of the award. Bargaining will resume tomorrow.
Please check out and join Nokia’s Yammer Field Forces conversation - an interesting Blog for sure. Remember, if you encounter quality issues with 3P contractors or you are sent to clean up their mess, please send the information to the Bargaining Team: cwalocal1090@yahoo.com.
