TSEU Candidates Take Top Three Spots in Board of Trustees Election

From a TSEU Email:

Total valid votes cast in the Higher Education election were 6,544 or a voter turnout of 3.9%.
The Governor will choose one of the top three vote-getters from the election.
Vote breakdown is as follows:

Karen Charleston - 2,732 votes

Karen is a 25-year employee of Prairie View A&M, where she is a Space Management Assistant. TSEU member since 2002, Karen serves on the her organizing committee. She worked to elect TSEU candidates for the TRS election in 2005 and was a General Assembly delegate in '08 and '10.

Julien Devereux - 2,098

Julien is a Managing Editor at the UT (Austin) School of Law Communications Department. He has been a TSEU member since 2009 and he serves on the UT organizing committee. Julien was a General Assembly delegate in 2010.

Joe Angulo - 1,546

Joe is a longtime TSEU member at U.T. Pan American in Edinburg. He is a staff assistant in the Engineering Dept with 16 years at UTPA. He has been a TSEU member since 2003 and is active on the UTPA organizing committee and COPE. He was a general assembly delegate in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
