Tentative Settlement at Verizon California
CWA has reached a tentative agreement with Verizon California that improves wages, health care and minimum pensions and expands employment security provisions, among other gains.
The agreement, subject to membership ratification, covers about 6,000 workers. The current agreement expires Mar. 19, 2005.
The settlement calls for an increase in base wages of more than 10.5 percent over the five-year contract term, plus a 4 percent lump sum payment effective Mar. 20, 2005.
