Talks on Hold; Members on the Move

Local 1104 Retiree Activists

With bargainers away from the table until after the CWA convention, members have taken to the streets, parking lots, and offices—standing, sitting, walking, telling our story to the general public and sending a message to the company.

This is not the time to take a break from mobilizing! When negotiations resume on July 18th, the company must understand that CWA and IBEW members will not accept their attempt to gut our contract.

Mobilization is going strong in every district. Local 1123 members continued lunchtime picketing at the Thompson Road FSC and the State Street central office in Syracuse, NY.

At Local 2201, members are showing their unity by walking intogether, and standing together for two minutes every afternoon at 2pm.

In Pennsylvania, Local 13500 dropped 1,500 new fliers at desks and has members wearing black on Mondays and red on Thursdays, with treats given to the Thursday red‐wearers. Local 13000 had mass tailgates at every location throughout the state and is pumping people up for the July 30th demonstration in New York!

IBEW picket assignments were handed out at the Taunton MAC on Wednesday. On July 28th, members will “Turn Taunton Green RED!” from 5:30‐6:30 pm.
