Supplemental Life Insurance (Legacy T)

Our office has received questions regarding the Supplemental Life Insurance Contribution Holiday the company notified CWA of in October 2012.  It became effective March 1, 2013. 

The company will be notifying us later this year when the payments will be reinstated.  However, they have indicated the Contribution Holiday will continue in full through October, 2014.  In the month of November, half a month will be paid by the company and the second half month will be paid by the employees who were affected by the Contribution Holiday.  Finally, beginning in December, the employees will pay the full monthly contribution going forward. 

This Contribution Holiday only affected certain groups of active and retired employees, Legacy T being one of the groups.  The second caveat was that the person had to be a participant in the Supplemental Group Life Plan as of December 1, 2011.
