OFS Bargaining Report #9

Bill Bates informed the company of the results of the Strike vote, which was a 97% approval to strike.  Discussions on the Article 22 Alliance proposal which was TA’d later in the day.  We had more discussions on the Medical data and retirees.  Veleta met with Martha to go over the numbers in more detail, after which Veleta gave the Bargaining Team a new presentation with updated information.  We met with the company again at 4:50 p.m. and we rejected Company proposals 1 and 3, which were reducing night shift differential to hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. instead of all hours worked and eliminating double-time.  We passed a counter to the Company 7 on new hire seven day coverage differentials and the STIP’s and a 2nd counter to Company 6 Alliance which was TA’d.

The Company countered Union proposal 1 Holidays and the Company rejected the Union's proposal 5 termination pay for new hires.  We are continuing to bargain with the Company but wanted to get a partial report out as soon as we could.

We finished up for the night at 10:30 pm with some progress made.  We still have a long way to go.  We are scheduled to meet again at noon.  All members should report to work unless told otherwise by National.
