OFS Bargaining Report – Day 6

Bargaining for Day 6 opened at 10:45AM.

The Company passed another Proposal for Retiree Health Care that included a Catastrophic Plan option which brought the costs of premiums down somewhat, but after adding the increases for out-of-pocket the annual cost could actually end up being more.  Bill Bates advised the Company the Union would take their latest proposal under advisement.

The Company then passed their counter to Union Proposal for Article 6 – Grievances, in which the Company pretty much eliminated all the Union's proposed language in their counter.  Bill advised the Company the Union would take under advisement their counter to Article 6.

Morning session with the Company ended at 11:30AM.  We returned to the Bargaining Table at 3:45PM.

The Union passed three proposals; Article 10 – Hours of Work, Article 16 – Force Adjustment Protection and Article 24 – Shutdowns.  The Union explained to the Company the reasons for the changes they are seeking and answered the Company's questions on the proposals.  The Company took the proposals under advisement.

The Bargaining ended for the day at 4:30PM.  We are scheduled to resume bargaining again Tuesday, May 16th.
