OFS Bargaining Report #5

Day 5 started with "off the record" discussions regarding Company attendance plans and retiree healthcare.  Formal negotiations commenced at 12:52 p.m.

The Union passed a proposal on Article 17 – Termination Allowances.  The Union proposed eliminating the New Hire Termination Allowance schedule and moving all employees under the Termination Allowance schedule under 17.1.  In addition, the Union proposed changing Article 17.6 (e) – Optional Termination Pay, from a cap of $30,500, to one year’s pay at the employees’ adjusted base wage.

The Company had nothing to pass today.

Negotiations recessed for the day at 12:55 p.m. The Bargaining Team will work throughout the weekend on possible bargaining proposals, as well as on sub-committee issues.  Formal negotiations will commence again on Tuesday the 28th at 10:00 a.m.
