OFS Bargaining Report – Day 17

Bargaining Report for Wednesday, May 31, 2006:  The Union and Company are still miles apart on several important proposals, but both the Union and Company are banging the table, making every effort to complete a TA by midnight.

The Union did pass a Wage Schedule proposal to the Company and the Company took it under advisement.

We should thank the Sturbridge management team for assisting our Members in building their Strike Fund purse through the unusual action of scheduling 12 hours of overtime for all Represented Employees on Friday.  Should we be forced to Strike the Company, that extra overtime will be a financial benefit to our Members.

Bill Bates will also thank the Company for their assistance toward our Members in preparing for a possible Strike.

All Members must contact their Local Strike Committee at midnight to inquire whether to report to work or to the Picket Line.
