AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #13
Your Bargaining Committee and the Company met in full committee late this afternoon and well into the evening. The Union passed several proposals across the table.
The Union proposed a MOA on Subcontracting and again passed language on Article 7 – Classification of Employees that would lower the probationary period for new hires. The Union also re-passed a MOA to allow employee access to their personnel records that the Company had rejected.
The Union passed Union #2 – Article 2 – Section 2.03- Unpaid Union time. The proposal included new language on Union notice for unpaid Union time and added a new Paragraph E with regard to how unpaid Union time would be considered. The Union agreed to language proposed in Company Proposal #1 on Article 2- Section 2.03 that would allow up to five (5) union representatives to receive eight hundred (800) hours per calendar year of unpaid Union time.
The Union proposed new language on Article 14 - Force Adjustment and on the MOA - National Transfer Plan (NTP). The new language would give employees retreat rights to the NIC. The Union’s final proposal was on Article 16 - Problem Resolution Process that increased Union time limits and added clear time limits for Company responses.
The Company and the Union reached tentative agreements on the Uniform Services Leave of Absence, Union Orientation, Work/Family Funding, Working Relations Committee (WRC), Addendum to the Working Relations Committee (WRC), Four-Ten Workweeks and CWA/NETT Academy Training Program MOAs.
Bargaining adjourned at 8:23 p.m. and will reconvene tomorrow, Saturday, July 13th.
