National COSH Worker Safety and Health Conference

CWA is co-sponsoring the National COSH Worker Safety and Health Conference, December 6-7, 2012 at the Maritime Institute outside of Baltimore, Maryland.  This 2 day conference will bring together safety and health activists from unions, COSH groups, worker centers and others to share information, experiences and strategies on key safety and health issues and struggles.

The conference features plenary panels and workshops and includes a special workshop track on organizing and safety and health.  Speakers include CWA President Larry Cohen and OSHA Deputy Assistant Secretary Jordan Barab. The conference will be particularly timely coming soon after the November election.

The AFL-CIO along with unions and other safety and health organizations have endorsed the conference.
