Missouri State Workers Rally for a Raise

More than 180 members of CWA Local 6355, representing Missouri state workers, marched from the governor’s mansion to the state Capitol in Jefferson City on April 10 to rally for a $2,000 pay raise, a $50 cap on health care premiums, more staff and a halt to privatization. They were joined by supporters from community groups and other locals, including a large contingent from Local 6310. District 6 Vice President Andy Milburn and Public, Health Care and Education Vice President Brooks Sunkett were among rally speakers. Participants capped the day by visiting with legislators to voice their demands in person.
