Lawsuit over log-in/log-out times

To:  All AT&T Legacy T Locals

On December 10, 2007, the law firm Nichols Kaster & Anderson, PLLP, filed a class action lawsuit under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act against AT&T and the former Bell South on behalf of certain call center employees.  Those employees include Sales and Service Consultants, Sales Consultants, and Sales Associates, as well as workers performing similar duties.  The claim alleges, among other things, that the employer violated federal wage laws by failing to compensate these employees for work performed during customer call-backs and time needed for computers to boot up.  Although CWA is not involved with this action, members are free to join if they wish.  Information about the case and the firm handling it may be found at the web address below.  Please be aware that, in providing this information, CWA does not endorse the firm nor does it take a position recommending or dissuading members from joining the action.  The decision to join or not join is entirely up to each individual.

Individuals may join the case by going to www.overtimecases.com or by calling (877) 448-4092.
