Kids' Corner: Honoring Black Americans
In honor of Black History Month, we've hidden the names of 11 heroic African-Americans in this month's puzzle. They include the very famous, such as civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and heroes who aren't as well known, such as Sgt. Eddie Carter, a World War II soldier who is only now getting recognition for his bravery. You can read more about him in back issues of the CWA News, which you can find online at ga.cwa-union.org. Use the Internet or your library to look up other names on the list and learn how they helped make our country a better place. Look up, down, forward, backwards and diagonally to find the names that are in bold red capital letters on the list.
