In The News: Bargaining Set for 150,000 AT&T Workers

Across the country and across AT&T units, CWAers are mobilizing for new contracts.

Bargaining got underway Jan. 21 for a new contract covering 20,000 CWA members at AT&T Mobility. The "Orange Contract" covers workers in Districts 1, 2, 4, 9 and 13.

Mobility workers have been mobilizing and wearing red to show their support for the CWA bargaining team, which includes union members representing call centers, administrative, technical and retail sales employees along with CWA representatives from each district. Bargaining goals were developed following a nationwide survey of Mobility members.

Beginning Feb. 24, CWA and AT&T will bargain at six tables for new contracts covering more than 125,000 workers.
