Feedback

Editor:

I was very pleased to read in the March CWA News about (Secretary-Treasurer Easterling’s) letter to the House Subcommittee on Telecommunications concerning low-power radio. This is an issue very near to my heart for many reasons. I publish a small magazine with my views and opinions of the world and it’s a freedom I love dearly.

In the course of exchanging small-press magazines with others, I’ve learned the plight of my fellow First Amendment lovers who specialize in micro-radio. It’s an absolute crime that micro-radio has such a difficult time setting up legally. I find it deeply offensive as an American and a lover of free expression that large media is fighting these smaller radio stations’ right to broadcast.

I am very proud that my union has taken this stand and I encourage you to make a larger issue of it. I think it’s something everyone needs to know and get angry about.
