Day 3 Report: Verizon Workers March for the 99%

The day - and 20 miles - flew by, say marchers, who started in Catskill and ended in Kingston. Once again, passing drivers honked their horns, with some stopping to offer encouragement and good wishes. Rallying with members of CWA Local 1120, local labor unions and community supporters, the marchers sent a message to Verizon Wireless. Looking ahead to Thursday's 12 miles through the Bronx and Manhattan, marchers say it's going to be a piece of cake, since the soreness is starting to go away as people's bodies adjust to walking long distances each day. Rumors of a barbeque near the Wappingers Falls Verizon Wireless store are adding motivation to tomorrow's march.
