CWA/NETT ACADEMY Mailbag: CWA/NETT Academy and Alliance Make Dreams Possible

For members at SBC/AT&T, Lucent, Avaya and other employers covered by the Alliance for Employee Growth and Development, pursuing dreams of a better future is now easier than ever.

The Alliance, a collectively bargained training program that has served CWA members for over two decades, has partnered with CWA/NETT Academy. Now members can sign up for CWA/NETT Academy courses directly through the Alliance website. Courses don't have to relate to a career path with a current employer, though many do. Best of all, the Alliance pays the bill up front – no waiting for reimbursement.

Priscilla Voit of Local 2252 is an international billing clerk for AT&T in Oakton, Va. She's completed her Microsoft Office certification and fiber optics technical training through the Alliance. Under the new partnership between the Alliance and CWA/NETT Academy, she's taking Dreamweaver. She dreams of one day running a business with her husband and promoting it on a website of her own creation.
