CWA Delegates Elect District Vice Presidents

Chicago -- In district meetings, CWA delegates to the union's 67th convention elected vice presidents whose duties include coordination of bargaining, organizing and other activities in their districts and who serve on the union's executive board.

Re-elected to office were Pete Catucci, District 2 (Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia), Andy Milburn, District 6 (Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana), and Tony Bixler, District 9, covering California and Nevada and Hawaii.

Delegates in District 1, members in New York, New Jersey and New England, elected Chris Shelton to his first full term. Shelton succeeded Larry Mancino who retired in April.

Noah Savant was elected vice president by District 3 delegates, for CWA's Southeastern region. Savant succeeded Jimmy Smith who retired in January.

In District 4, Seth Rosen, former administrative assistant to Jeff Rechenbach, was elected vice president. Rosen had served as administrative assistant since 1994 and succeeds Rechenbach, who was elected CWA executive vice president.

Annie Hill was elected vice president for District 7, representing workers in the mountain states, Northwest and Southwest. She had served as administrative assistant under vice president John Thompson who stepped down in February.

In District 13, James J. Short was elected vice president representing members in Pennsylvania and Delaware. He succeeded Vincent Maisano who retired April 2.
