CWA Commends Obama Administration Steps Toward Universal Health Care

Contact: Candice Johnson, CWA Communications, 202-434-1168, cjohnson@cwa-union.org

Washington, D.C. -- The Communications Workers of America commended President Obama's strong support for health care reform and the administration's proposed budget that will move our nation closer toward the goal of universal health care.

"With his budget plan, the President has signaled his commitment to a health care system that provides every American with quality, affordable care. He understands the economic toll that our current broken system is taking on all of us – families, employers, communities, states and our nation's bottom line. We must take on this issue now.

"We join President Obama in calling on Congress to support the President's initiatives which are a real first step toward quality, affordable health care for all Americans."
